    Android port

I understand it's not released yet, but is there a place to download it on here in beta phase? Sorry if thread is in wrong place, couldn't find where to put it.

    There isn't.
The items you see released are from people beta testing the export module.

    Hi Jeff,

Is there any way to join the beta test for this feature as I would really like to start testing before release of my own game. Also are you able to provide the current status on the beta and when you expect any sort of release?

    Thanks
    James

I wish we knew the exact date of release but it just depends on when James can destroy the final issues preventing that.
Android has been.... an interesting project for James.

I don't we need anymore beta testers right now for it. You would want to be a member of the MMF owners lounge so put in your MMF serial number on your forum profile that is where the recruit for beta testers happens.

Right now, I'd have to say that it's going along nicely, and it will (hopefully) get released soon. Almost certainly by the end of the year...

Hello everyone, I am a new owner of MMF2 although I used to experiment with Klik n' Play back when I was in middle school.

Actually I bought MMF2 hoping to make games and apps for Android. It was my understanding that the android exporter would be released quite soon (in the next month or something) given that it's being advertised on the main site.
I really hope that the above "by the end of the year" comment is exaggerated!
Please let us know as soon as you have some vague idea of when it's going to be released.
    Happy app making everyone

It is exaggerated, very. I think HGF was just being a bit pessimistic

It is already in Release Candidate stage, James is very hard at work ironing out the final bits but ultimately this decision is down to James I can only tell you what I know.

In the meantime, as I said in another thread, there is absolutely nothing stopping people from starting basic engines for Android development using standard extensions. The typical resolution is 854x480 or 850x480, if you are using built-in movements, PMO and the standard MMF2 objects then you can prep alot of stuff ready so as soon as Android does become publicly available you already have a head start. This I can tell you because this is what I do know, check out the news section on the forum and my blog to see examples of games already published. These games published are using just basic ACES and standard MMF2 extensions (if any).

Either way, it is certainly worth the wait.
