    iOS Touch Control help

    Sorry this is such a basic question, but I've not really understood the responses in previous posts about this.

    I have your average platform game, it uses left/right movement and button 1/button 2. So I just need 4 buttons. I can either use the Joystick Control object, or actives, the latter probably being better as I don't need joystick movement really.

    So my question is, how do you get your active objects to act as buttons? I'm sorry this is such a primitive question, but I'm just confused about it.

    Thanks for the link.

    I've looked at another tutorial file that used similar methods, but I don't understand them. I've never used "group player" or "group reference point" before and don't know how to find them. I also don't know how to simply say, "When player touches the screen, create an active object at that position". That is the main thing I'm looking to achieve for the moment.

    check out the behaviors of the touch actives (a b c d) and you will see they have some code in there.
