zoom/scope in ios (has anyone got a method?)

Would like to do a zoom effect like looking through a scope, is this just impossible in IOS?

Tuna - If you only use Actives or Active Pictures they're both scaleable (although annoyingly Actives use scale factor where 1.0 is actual size and Active Pictures use number of pixels!) - or are you after something like the Lens object, so some parts of the screen are zoomed and others not zoomed?

I've given up using scale to pull it off. its too slow. I know the Lens object doesn't work on IOS but i'd love to have that functionality.

I think in general MMF2 could do with easier ways to zoom/scale the camera. I hope it's something we see more of in MMF3...

If you can find some examples that work with IOS, please point them out.

I did an example YEARS ago of a simple 'SilentScope' zoom (only 1 magnification level), I can not find the original file to post tho.

My technique used 2 frames, one zoomed in, one out. I used a sub-app to simulate the zoom effect.

I *think* that would work on iOS but my recent experiments with subapps on iOS did not go well (user error on my part im sure).

Tuna - seems like you've already seen this example, did it not help?
