    Question Cos (45) vs 1/Sqr(2)

I've calculated values used two expressions Cos(45) and 1/Sqr(2).
However, there are differences between result of these expressions.

    Without HWA
    Cos(45) = 0.7071067811865476
    1/Sqr(2) = 0.7071067811865475

    With HWA
    Cos(45) = 0.7071067657322372
    1/Sqr(2) = 0.7071067690849304

    Which value recommend I use?

The difference is absolutely negligible. I don't think you'll ever run into any different results in an actual application.

Non-HWA is obviously more accurate. In HWA, 1/Sqr(2) is a bit more accurate than Cos(45)... I'm not really sure what you want to hear. Just use "0.7071" hardcoded, you should be fine.

You are right... I will use that fixed number. Thanks!

    OMG, this is funny
How many times would you have to multiply the two different results to get an actuall difference of 1.0?
