Thanks, i try here and work fine and simple. congrats to you. save me hours of effort for me.
Great tool! However, the picture up here doesn't match what i get. Mine has more fields.
Maybe your picture is Version 1.0, not 1.2. An important thing is that there is no Key Name field. MMF2 asks for this in the Android properties.
Thanks. - RichC
Danny - Okay. Thanks. I was just going to go through and try every field in that place.
You saved me a bunch of work. I'f ask why one says ALIAS and one says KEYNAME, but the explanation is too technical. Anyhow, thanks for all you do. - RichC
Sorry to bug you guys, I got the build to compile with the keystore information.
I uploaded the build to the Alpha part of Google Play develoer's dashboard, then later the Beta part.
My question is, how do I know the keystore stuff worked properly before making the app go live for the Play store?
Would the dashboard have denied the app if the keystore data was not present? Or does it allow it, even if it is wrong, or not present in the apk?
I want to hopefully make sure it all works the way Google needs before launching it to the public.
Thanks for any input you all can provide.
Xhadoe - One would assume it would. When you upload your APK through Alpha/Beta panel, it uses the same upload technique and checks as the release version so I think it would have to have a valid keystore packed in with it. Other than that, I wouldn't worry too much with Alpha/Beta as that's all they are.
Just ensure you compile the release version separate with the correct credentials and you'll be okay.
Danny -
Things are closer to being okay. However, now my build application fails with the following comments...
BUILD FAILED
C:\Program Files\Android\android-sdk\tools\ant\build.xml:1128: The following error occurred while executing this line:
C:\Program Files\Android\android-sdk\tools\ant\build.xml:1140: Invalid keystore format
Any idea what is up with this? Thanks for all your help. Sorry to be a pain. - RichC
Ok, thanks for the reassurance. I don't want to mess up my kid's second game/app![]()
