    Exclamation EditBox bug in flash. Workaround?

    I discovered a bug when using the editbox object in flash. In regular runtime you can only write text inside the length of the edit box. In flash you can just keep typing forever.

    Do anyone know a workaround to this? I need to be able to limit the length because I use the edit box to allow the player to write his name, but now in flash he can write his name as 1000 characters..

    The Len function in the expression editor lets you count the number of characters. So if the user input reaches your set maximum , you can display a message or clear the content of the edit box, I think

    Do you have a working example of this? I dont want the player to be able to write more then say 5 characters, basically i want to emulate how it is supposed to work without this bug.
