Re: midi songs in android games?

There are lots of MIDI -> WMA/MP3 converters on the Web, Google it.
In addition, MIDI songs are pretty crappy.

It seems you can use Midi songs and it's converted in mp3 in MMF when you build an apk. Or you can use a soft, exemple audacity and convert yourself midi to mp3 : http://audacity.sourceforge.net/

Android is able to read and play midi file... I tried to play one with my phone !

So if the operation system is able, I think that could be not really complex to add support in a near future .... but I think that isn't a priority for clickteam right now !

for samcool_129 : In fact, midi are not really crappy... if you don't know midi are simply numeric partition... The quality of the midi playing alway depend of the sample kit (named "sound font" or "dls") If you use nice synth or quality sound font, there is a lot of chance than midi don't sound crappy anymore after ^^

But the majors software include really cheap and minimalist sound font

Midi is still an interesting medium, personally I would run it through something like Fruity Loops and convert some if not all of the midi instruments for vst equivalent or better. I'm wondering if you can export a midi from the demo. The midi synth on android is pretty good but stick with an audio conversion like mp3/ogg format as I'm not sure if the midi will sound the same on different phones/android os.
