    Knockback Help?

Hello, I know there are many other threads created for knockback problems. I have looked through all these threads and none of the solutions have worked for me. I am trying to add knockback to my game, which uses a custom platform engine.

Here is a copy of my game:

    Application.mfa

Without looking at the .mfa, couldn't you say (for an attack by the player from the right) set a target's flag on for 2 seconds and then while that flag's on and his left detector's not overlapping an obstacle subtract his X position by 1?

He'd appear to be getting knocked back a bit.

Sorry, I should have been a bit more specific. I meant for the player to be knocked back.

I have another problem: I'm trying to get the player to "stun" when he swings his sword (stops the player until the sword is invisible again) but it's not working.

    My code is like this:

Sword Out of (Sword) > 0
    >Ignore control
    >Sub 1 to Sword Out

When Sword Out = 0, the sword becomes invisible. When it's above zero, it is visible. Can anyone help with this? Here is a newer copy of my game:

    Application.mfa

Edit: the ignore control command isn't working no matter what the condition. Please help!

I don't know if using the ignore control command is the best idea for this.

How about instead you make additional conditions to your player's move / action events check to see if the sword's not already our or visible?
