Emulator sits on Android loading screen

I put an active in the frame, then build the APK, then press "Emulate" and the emulator opens, and just sits on the Android loading screen, never reaching the home screen. I've tried running MMF in administrator, and there's no change in behavior. I know the emulator is slow, but there's a difference between 'slow' and 'not working'.

Also, where the hell is this "Build and Run" command I keep hearing about? I don't see it anywhere.

It is not in hell. In MMF look at the tool bar under "Run" You will find it there.

Well,I've never actually used that particular option in my 3-4 years of using Fusion. Thanks Marv. Still can't figure out why my emulator won't load a game. It would be very convenient to be able to run an emulator.

The emulator is horrid. It takes forever to boot, and then it runs games really in a really laggy way, and it doesn't emulate it perfectly, meaning that it might behave differently than an actual device.

In the past few hours, I've realized that, and have opted for just loading the apk onto the phone. I think I will setup some kind of online transfer though, so that I don't have to keep plugging it in.

You don't have to load the APK onto the phone manually if you use Build & Run (for which you'll need to install the ADB driver and enable debugging mode), but you'll still need the phone plugged in.

For those referencing this thread in the future: I have a DroidX and needed to switch my usb mode on the phone to "PC mode", then Windows 7 automatically pulled down all the necessary drivers. Then, on the phone, I had to go to "Settings>>Applications>>Development" and ticked the box for "Debugging mode". After that, I could go to "Run>>Build and Run" in Fusion, and it automatically starts the apk file on the phone after it gets done building.

    Thanks James.
