Question Annoying MMF2 Animation Bug That Drives Me Crazy !

Hi everyone its me again. i have a problem with animations in MMF2 for example:

This is a event i made for wall sliding:
    Conditions:
If Left Colider overlaps group zero ( A group which allows sliding on walls ).
Repeat while right arrow key is pressed.

    Actions:
    Set Grav to 1
    Set Horiz to 0
    Change Animation to Wall Sliding

The wall sliding works like a dream but the animation is always stuck on the first frame and wont finish.
The animation is looped and i tried only one action when event loops and that doesnt work at all.
Help would be appreciated a lot and thank you for reading.

Change the animation in a different event with the same conditions. However, in the event where you change the animation, also add another condition:
Only one action when event loops.

It should look something like this:

    Event 1:
    Conditions:
If Left Colider overlaps group zero ( A group which allows sliding on walls ).
Repeat while right arrow key is pressed.

    Actions:
    Set Grav to 1
    Set Horiz to 0

    Event 2:
    Conditions:
If Left Colider overlaps group zero ( A group which allows sliding on walls ).
Repeat while right arrow key is pressed.
Only one action when event loops.

    Actions:
    Change Animation to Wall Sliding

Make sure that the wall sliding animation is set to loop, since, otherwise, this won't work right.

Hm, could you put up a simple example? Then I might be able to alter the file to work right, which might be easier than explaining how to fix it...

I think I found the problem. It tries to play the wall slide animation, but then the jumping animation is played instead because of the event changing the player to use the jump animation is overriding the event changing it to the wall slide animation. I modified the walls a little in the file to test left-wall wall-sliding, I hope you don't mind. You don't need to use the change there, just use the extra code I added. Note that left-wall wall-sliding doesn't work on small walls, I don't really know why though, but it doesn't seem to be just the animation, so it probably isn't something related to the way I fixed it. Anyway, the file is attached. I hope it helps! By the way, do you mind if I use the engine myself? Just curious, since it's a pretty good platform game engine other than the bugs that we've helped you with. I probably wouldn't be using it for a fan game, though.
