How much do you need a physics engine in iOS?

This has been a long debated topic and it would be great to get some official numbers here.

I currently have no need for it, as pinball movement has been working for me. Physics would be nice for future projects only if it doesn't have a big impact on performance.

I voted yes, since someone is porting it to iOS as we speak, and he's also porting it to Android from the sounds of things, which means that, once it's available for iOS, it won't be long for it to be available for Android, and Box2D for Android would be awesome (I don't have the iOS runtime, though, but if I did have it, I would probably want Box2D to be ported to it even more than I do right now).

Even if Angry Birds has run its course, there are still a great number of game ideas that could take advantage of Box 2D Physics...

Same here. Angry birds was a good (stolen) idea. But physics have always been and will always be a topic in games (2d-3d-4d). So jipiiii - if - yes!

As of ClickConvention 2013 it has been announced that MMF2.5 will have built-in physics for all platforms. Were they ever keeping quiet on this one!

I guess our prayers have been answered
