Question Joystick 2 Object Not Building

Hi all, I'm new to these forums and running into some trouble while trying to make a game with MMF2 Developer. I recently downloaded and start using the Joystick 2 Object, and got it to work great in my game. However, when I try to build the application as a Windows EXE, I get the following error:

"Warning : the following extensions are not compatible with the build type of the application :

    Joystick2.mfx

Do you want to build this application anyway? If so the missing objects will have no effects."

At first I thought I could replace this object with something better, though it seems to be the only tool I can use to get the effects I want. I desperately would like to get my game built and I'm wondering what's the problem.

Is anyone familiar with this?? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

EDIT: In case you ask, I am using Joystick object 2 v1.4

The joystick2 object is compatible for the Windows runtime.
You are sure you are building for the Windows runtime?

ProdigyX - I'm not sure what you mean by building for the Windows runtime. If you mean selecting the build type as "Windows EXE Application," then yes that's the setting I'm using. :/

That's almost certainly what he meant. Could you try reproducing the problem in a new MFA file, and then uploading it here?

Could you perhaps try re-installing the object? It could be that it got messed up in the install process and didn't add the runtime version of the object.

That fixed it! I had the correct extension file, but no file under Data/Runtime. Now everything builds perfectly.
    Thanks again, everyone!!

You're welcome! By the way, for future reference, this is the correct place to ask questions related to MMF2/MMF2DEV.
