    "Accelerometer Example" Question

I'm just assuming since it's an older thread, my question inside it was unnoticed. I just had a small question on it. It's probably a 10 second fix, but for some reason, it seems to be way over my head.

I was just wondering if it is possible to have the ball stop, or even better a rubberband-effect as it is hitting the top or bottom of the screen. As of right now, my work-around is having the object loop the screen, but I want to get rid of that.

    In regards to this post:

    Thank you,
    Brian

    For the rolling ball example?

I think you'd need to make the ball bounce when it hits the edge of the screen. You can probably do this by reversing the X or Y inertia when it hits the edge of the screen.
I can't remember if the ball uses vector movement, but you could probably just use the instruction "vector movement: forced bounce: 90 degrees"

I'm using the first example in the tutorial. The movement is static.

    Edit:
I figured it out. Some-what have the rubber band effect I was looking for. Not as smooth as I'd like it to be, but I don't have the knowledge to really make it better. Basically, like you said reversing the inertia to make it completely stop (a bit jumpy). What I did was it's overlapping an invisible object on either the side, it'll Always Add 0.5 to Alt Value Z. Building up resistance.

In your example you have the event "Y( "Active" )-Round(Alterable Value Y( "Active" )-0.5)" when tilting the device.

It's just a modified version of that "Y( "Active" )-Round(Alterable Value Y( "Active" )-Alterable Value Z( "Active" ))" when Active is overlapping that object.

In my case I have a separate invisible object on the top and bottom of the screen. The character will be pushed back when trying to leave.
