    Question Object referencing another object

    Hey,

I am coding one of my first extension objects. It is to be coupled with an active object.
    My questions are these:

    1) How do you setup in edit mode the ability to select and store a reference to an active object?
    2) Then, how to access this active object from my code to control its behavior? (movement, animation, etc.)

It's not safe to try and associate with objects at edittime as MMF2 doesn't tell you when that object changes or is deleted, and having to check that is also tricky. Usually an association is performed at runtime with an action taking an object parameter.

I haven't actually done anything like this myself, but others have - for example you can ask RickyRombo how he did it with his Bullet 360 object.
Working as fast as I can on Fusion 3
