    Missing Extensions

    Hi Everyone:

I have recently returned to this forum. Sometime ago - I started developing a game in MMF2 Dev. I had to stop developing the game due to time constraints. I recently re-installed MMF2 Dev. and tried to open my old game. It appears I am missing a few extensions that I used before- specifically LSOSave.Mfx and LSOLoad.Mfx. I can't seem to find these anywhere. Can anyone help? Also is there a way to force MMF2 Dev to open the MFA file even if there are missing extensions?

Please advise - thanks for your help.

I tried searching for those, but they don't seem to exist. You could make a copy of two existing MFX files and then re-name them to LSOSave.mfx and LSOLoad.mfx, and then simply delete the objects (since they won't work at all since they aren't actually the objects they are named to be (since you're just doing it so you can open the file)), which allows you to open it without them. After doing that, use "save as" to save your MFA file under a different name (such as "<whatever the old file name was> new.mfa") so that, in the event that someone does find those two objects, then you can open the old version and copy and paste the objects and any events related to them over to the new version of the game (unless they no longer have any use since you replicated their function without them).

    Hi Happygreenfrog:

Thanks for your quick response. I will try the renaming method.

    Best Regards
