I agree that we need more tutorials and a better easier way to find them. I don't know if it was my nagging that got Sparckman to do this guide, in any case thank you Even though I would probably need the second half of the guide (that handles the actual events to really grasp what is going on).
The overall tutorial section should really need a reboot and update. Imo the most clear mmf tutorials /articles I have seen are these: http://www.diybandits.com.au/MMF/tutorials.html and http://www.diybandits.com.au/MMF/articles.html
Very clean and easy to follow, yet powerful stuff. To bad there are so few of them. I think I heard Chris Burrows where going to actually do some more tutorials for clickteam in a new format, but I dont know what happened to that rumor.

And listen, all of this I say for Clickteam's benefit too! Don't make these changes for me; do it for the marketability of Clickteam products. The more people that are able to successfully use these products, the more games that will be released under Clickteam's banner; and that's good for everyone involved! What good is it to have a top quality product if, because of the lack of simple training material, most people give up and never use it to it's full potential? Those people who emailed me asking for help when I was struggling to figure out the Android export module, I couldn't help them at the time. I never heard from them again and I'm sure they gave up. That didn't need to happen. When a guide was made for the Android keystore, I was like OH! OK! And it made sense. It doesn't take a whole lot, just a little something to get people pointed in the right direction. Not everyone can look at an example file and deconstruct it, especially when it's something this different.

Animdude, apologies if my post came across a little harsh. From a commercial point of view, you have to remember the work and effort already provided by Clickteam, this I suppose was my main point which I kind of diverted from a little.

I like to help out the community and you're welcome for the KeyGen. When I see a gap in a bridge, I like to think I can contribute something towards filling that gap. I spoke with Fernando and Jeff earlier and agree that you have raised a good point that needs to be addressed. I work closely with Fernando testing runtimes and extensions so I will take some time out in the future to better Fernando's help documentation (he does try but his native language isn't English don't forget). And I will also help out to provide some additional examples, the more examples and better documentation the better.

I will also be creating a video tutorial which will be available for FREE here on the forum for using Google IAPs, alongside this I will be creating more videos on my Udemy MMF2 course(s) to provide more in-depth video tutoring for individual exporters and individual extensions. So basically try to cover all bases where possible.

I wanted to address this really quick. I did go through the help files, and there is a lot of great information in there. I feel much more educated about the terms, and the only real thing lacking is a step-by-step example on how to implement that knowledge. You have a help file and a sample file; all that's missing is something to thread them together.

For instance, what I really need to know how to do is just the simplest of IAP's; buying gold. It would be unmanaged, as it really seems like it would be easier to manage in the app itself, so there's no need for inventory queries and such. Just a very simple button to click, message to receive, and there's your gold!

I think the thing that confuses me is that there is so much information given in the help file without a specific order to it, especially since a lot of that information wouldn't be needed for each type of purchase. The help file is more like a glossary of terms. I can think of two very specific examples that people would need- buying gold (where you can keep adding to it) or buying one (such as a sword). I still wouldn't see the need to do an inventory query to the site, as there are plenty of ways to not let a player buy a sword from within the game, but that procedure could be included in the sword tutorial and not the gold tutorial, so we could see a more basic version of an IAP purchase and a more complex one. But really if you could include a step-by-step for those two examples, then people could add to those as needed, and add on complexity as needed. If I could just learn the basic procedure or a gold purchase, I could run with it from there, and I think most other people could too.

    thanks for the info

i will speak with Danny to see if a tutorial can be done, but all trick are coming from testing. for instance go to a managed good is always good but remember that need to be consume before buy another one, but always you need to issue a query inventory to see what is purchased and not (this is for security reason).

    thanks again

From what I've heard, yes. However, OUYA in-app purchases are available in the standard version, as it is the only way to make money on the OUYA.

EDIT: Also, I think you need to be running the latest beta version to have it.

That's what I've thought after downloading the beta and not finding the extension.

Well, thank you for clearing it up for me
