Question Have anyone really got any performance changes by changing settings?

I have heard many times that to increase performance there are many settings you can tweak. Like color reduction, smooth resizing, target android version and so on. I spend the whole day today doing tests with my current app. The app is set to 30 fps and usually stays between 15-25 ingame.

I have tried every possible combination of different settings. I have done color reduction and smooth resizing off. Set target android to lowest and highest, changed the build api from 14 to 18. Changed open GL display mode. Any setting I can think off, and still I can not see any difference at all in the performance of the game between the different versions I have built and tested.

What are your experience with this, have you noticed major performance boost with some settings, and why when I test every one I can think off I see no difference in performance? (I would think color correction and smoth resizing would make some difference, I can see difference in graphics, but not in fps)

I noticed large image objects cause FPS drops. Scale them instead.
Also not sure if itll do anything, but i have mine set at 50 FPS.

    Hi,

just to point this application made with MMF2 and in google play store, does it run ok with a nice speed in your device?

    https://play.google.com/store/apps/d...rspielhd&hl=es

believe or not even if Tegra said that power of 2 is not necessary for texture, that is not true, and many devices does require to make the background power of two.
    Regards,
