Help - Casting an object (Fishing game)

    Hi everyone,
Been trying to make a small fishing game, i can't seem to get the casting mechanics working.
I've stripped everything i had out down to basics.
When you press the cast button it starts the casting movement, when you press it again while the casting movement is underway, launch a hook from the rod.

I've done that, but I'm trying to achieve this:
Launch the hook using the angle of the rod, have gravity applied to it. (so it falls)

    Aswell as:
Reel the hook back in, towards the rod (using the rods angle).
(but i could hopefully achieve this once i have the above mechanic sorted)

I had minor success with both the angle and gravity and couldn't get both working together properly, so i've stripped it all out (was a mess).

    Heres the example:
    fishing-cast.mfa

Any help would be GREATLY appreciated.
I'm also trying to do it extension free for cross-platform support.
    thanks again.

I'm guessing this should be fairly easy to implement in with fusion 2.5

I would use the sticky object to stick an invisible active to the end of the rod at the start of the frame, then I would create the hook on that active when the button is pressed.
    But ehh, extension free...

Vector-Movement should be able to simulate simple Gravity. Ofcourse not as powerfull as Real-Physics-Movement (like Box2D or the Built-In-Physics of CTF2.5) but for this Kind of Project it should work too.
    with kind regards,
    jahkri
