    Now it makes freaking sense. I tried it on my PC and buildings start looking good (3d Wise) with like 60 layers? But retro style is great. FTW

    Thanks guys and lol Fano I think it still looks pretty decent at 32 (and style-wise, if done right, 16 is ok!) but yeah I think I'm gonna go with retro. So far I have exploding cars and gibbed zomboids - huzzah physics! Starting work on the RTS elements this week.

    Any suggestions re anything are most welcome!

    Awesome! Glad someone is putting that old engine to use. I can reupload the old files if I still have them. Might take a few days, job, wife, and kids take up large portions of my day!

    The Hud controller is transparent which is good, it does not cover the action or feedback. The icons however are a bit hard the distinguish from each other and what their function are. A few suggestions on the subject would be using colors, symbols, shading or enlarged parts. Such as antenna, cargocontainer or guntower. The small clouds or lighteffects are interesting not just "pretty" because they add to game aesthetics and player feedback.

    Thanks tompa, I tried to shade the icons but I don't have the skills so I decided to go with an enlarged version on mouseover plus a description. Perhaps more info will also end up in a window somewhere.

    Take two - this time with better buildings and lighting.

    If you sink more detail into the slices, you can make the buildings appear more detailed. Like drawing a 2nd set of windows within each slice.
