    MMF locks up when building Android apk

    This is my first time working with Android (the game has been available for iOS for months though) and I can't get it to compile correctly (even with a blank project, so I know it's not my game itself). I have the current SDK and Java installed and they're set to the correct location in Preferences. When I build, it does make an apk but MMF still shows the green build-progress bar and is unresponsive (I have to quit it with the task manager), and the apk that it builds doesn't run. At this point I don't know whether the app crashes due to the apk not being written correctly or it it's some other problem. Any ideas? I've tried Release Mode (with Keystore) and non-Release Mode. I'm running Android 4.3 on a Nexus 7 (2013) and 4.4 on a Nexus 5. I'd be happy to provide any other info necessary to troubleshoot.

    Can you compile a blank app that makes an APK?

    It takes awhile to build the APK so hopefully your not stopping it before its completely done.

    Jeff: A blank APK doesn't work either. I've given the blank one several minutes-- far longer than the iOS build. How long should a blank one take? Also, do I need to do Release Mode with a blank one or can I leave that off? I did it with it off.

    Hi,

    try this, go to menu: File ---> Build ---> Application

    if it build and you see the apk where you define as destination everything is correct and the problem is with your adb command.

    open a shell command windows and do "adb devices" (without quotes) that should list your device, if the list is empty; this is the reason why you see the green bar. the MMF is waiting for connection.

    As Fernando says, Fusion has already built the APK, when it appears like it's at 100% constantly it's awaiting the connection to your phone.

    It could be a driver issue, check out the universal driver Simon put in the Android forum (Sticky) and try a reboot...

    Thanks guys! It's working now, in that I doesn't lock up, and that it transfers properly. Now to figure out why my game itself crashes. :-)

    Im having this problem as well ( Fusion locks up at 100% when using 'Build And Run' ).
    After this i have to force quit Fusion and reboot my PC, as Stea thinks Fusion is still running ( cant reopen Fusion and cant close STEAM ).

    I have installed the driver posted by Simon, rebooted but the issue is still there.
    I have not uninstalled the original drivers however, as i dont know how to do so.

    Anyone know how to uninstall curent/ previous drivers?
    Anyone else having this issue?
    Other suggestions?

    Can you build an APK without using build and run?

    Then we can narrow down your problem to the build or the run.
