    Surface object blit area

    OK I wasn't able to find any help file on the Surface object, and the examples files didn't help me on what I'm looking for.
    I need to understand how blit works - I need it for capture a special area in my application and then draw this captured area onto the surface object itself.
    How can I do this ?

    The Surface Object comes with a CHM documentation at Help/Surface.chm.

    Here is an example of how to blit something from within the application (from the "background").

    You can download the latest Surface version including documentation here: http://we.tl/oSh5nkUHA7 It's officially still beta but it's stable! I'm officially releasing it soon.

    MMF2 is asking for an external dlls for this version and it does not work. I have an older version of the extension in the HWA folder and it is working fine.
    I am using Build R257.12 of MMF. Do you have references on special MMF dlls?

    Oops I just tested and mmf told me that is impossible to load surface.mfx (object needs external program or lib -> translated from french) too
    edit. Works perfectly in F2.5 but not in MMF2

    Ahh dammit, I uploaded the F2.5 version ! Sorry! The F2.5 version has HWA and non-HWA merged into one mfx, which is why it didn't overwrite your HWA version, conceptgame. This kinda bothers me, to be honest: People who migrate their MMF2 extensions to 2.5 and then update Surface might still have an ancient MFX of Surface in their installation that might be used... for 2.5 I'll probably just go the safe route and copy the MFX into the HWA folder so it will at least overwrite the old one.

    Ok it is working now. But it means that there is a new SDK. I did not see it on github.
    Do you know if it will be released today with F2.5 or later?

    Frankly I don't know. You can probably PM Yves to get it! It's not like it contains any super secret information.
