    Screen Zoom. To be ported to Windows?

    Hello,

    Are there any plans to port the Screen Zoom object to the Windows runtime. I recently purchased Fusion 2.5 and this was my main reason for doing so (though I can't complain! ) I did not realize that it only worked for HTML 5.

    If there are plans is there any ETA?

    Not sure if it will make it into the EXE -- Still considering.

    How about Flash, Android and XNA?

    Yes MJK, it's still on the list for the remaining platforms, just C++ that's up in the air at the minute (for good reasons).

    Screen zoom and screen rotation are two of the reasons I want to upgrade. Next to physics, they're a must have. It would be a shame if they didn't make it.

    Do HTML5 games run even close to the speed that Windows-based games can? HWA and all? Do they have to run in a browser?

    If HTML5 is a viable option for creating large-scale games and doesn't slow-down I'd consider purchasing it for the screen zoom extension.

    This seems like something that should definitely be ported to mobile devices.

    I find it strange that it's not right now, if you look at the manager in 2.5 it will label the screen zoom extension as built for iOS, but it's not working on iOS right now, correct?

    It's a very confusing time to try out these new extensions without looking at this forum, 2.5 help files say html5 only, manager says iOS yet you can still plop down the extension when making an application under windows .exe builds.

    Communication about ScreenZoom object compatibility so far:

    Clickteam said before release: Flash, iOS, Android, HTML5 and XNA

    Fusion 2.5 extension manager says: HTML5

    Fusion 2.5 frame editor says: Windows Exe, iOS, HTML5

    Reality: only HTML5



    No wonder this causes some conFusion..

    Sad about this, it was my #1 feature for 2.5 and I consider it quite an important bit of functionality that's missing from Fusion. Perhaps the only big thing missing now. I understand the way MMF2 is built makes it hard to do zooming though. If it's just not possible, make camera zooming a top priority for 3 guys!

    Thank's to Loki's excellent Tilemap extension I'm still able to do the project I had in mind though
