    2 Player Scrolling

How would I make it so that when I have 2 player scrolling, neither player can leave the current screen. I've tried everything, I'm probably just a idiot. But can anyone help me out?

It's not that obvious -- don't worry about it.

Search the forum for Split screen (or splitscreen) examples. You can achieve this with sub-applications or the Viewport object.

This thread Here has a Viewport example

My game isn't split screen, it's a fighting game that features both characters on one screen. What would I use for that?

Find the X distance between the 2 players. Then position an object halfway between them (to act as the camera, the screen will follow this object) and then prevent each players X from being too far away from the scroller.

    Hey there!
Do you mean something like this (see attached example)?
It's a simple method without the use of extensions.

EDIT: haha oh well, DaveC was faster :P

    EDIT2:
    Controls are
    P1 Move: Arrow Keys
    P1 Jump: Shift
    P2 Move: wasd-keys
    P2 Jump: Q-Key
    Attached files Attached files

And how would I go about restricting something from happening. Also, I'm using the Platform Movement Object.

Add a condition to your movement code where in order to move right the x position of the player compared to the scroller must be less than say, 200.

Before moving left, the x position of the player compared to the scroller should be more than -200.

    If bill1 Xpos is greater than bill2 Xpos - then set Camera Xpos to X( "bill1" ) - ( ( X( "bill1" ) - X( "bill2" ) ) / 2 )
    If bill2 Xpos is greater than bill1 Xpos - then set Camera Xpos to X( "bill2" ) - ( ( X( "bill2" ) - X( "bill1" ) ) / 2 )

There are likely better ways to do it. but this is fairly easy to understand.
