Fusion 2.5 or MMF2? In Fusion 2.5, you are allowed to change the skin for more than just the event editor. It should also skin the Storyboard editor, and possibly a few other editors as well (though I forget for sure). In MMF2, well, last time I checked, MMF2 doesn't have custom skins like that in general.

Assuming this is for Fusion 2.5, here's how:

    1) Navigate to the Fusion's program files folder.
    For instance, mine's: C:\Program Files\Clickteam Fusion Developer 2.5
This might vary depending on if it's 32-bit/64-bit and which edition of Fusion.

    2) Open the 'Skins' folder.

    3) Inside are folders containing the skins. Copy one of these (as a template) to your desktop (UAC is most likely to restrict you from copying directly into the folder)

    4) Give this folder a new name, eg. "Default" --> "NewSkin"

    5) Open the new folder. Inside contains all the graphics used for the skin. Go ahead and modify these!
Tip: A word to the wise, to avoid possible errors, stick to their original dimensions.

    6) After you've modified the files to make your new skin, next, open a file named info.ini

    7) The second line contains a name for the skin, enter a unique name here.

There's other options in there, mostly involving colours and positions.

    8) Copy the new folder back into Fusion's "skins" folder. UAC is likely to stop you along the way...

    9) Go to Tools --> Preferences and then the Workspace tab. Select your new skin from the list.
Note: If Fusion is already open, it may not appear... in which case, close Fusion and re-open it.

    That should do it!

If you want to get more creative with your workspace, consider changing the toolbar icons, Yves informed me this was possible when I filled in a feature request if this could be integrated with skins:

Each image is 16x16 in size, the bitmap can be in true color (the current one is old, it contains images of mmf1...).

    2. In CF25 go to View / Toolbars / Customize, and then right click on the button you want to change, select Button Appearance and then select one of your images in the list.
Customizing the toolbars is straight forward if you want to customize even further.

I run Fusion on Ubuntu, and these are my toolbar touches which makes me feel at home

Just a word of warning: Apparently with updates to Fusion, toolbar settings may be reset. I wouldn't advise lazily overwriting skin files (Default/Dark/Girly/Patel) either in case Fusion updates overwrites them too.

I wonder what others have been creatively up to

Oh well. My mistake. It may be useful for someone else who wants to change/create their own skin. It might be because I read "custom skins".....

Perhaps a moderator may wish to move it as a how-to thread of its own?
