    Text Based Game

Hey, I am new to the fusion software and I wanted to make a text based game(old school i know, but a good start up game) But i'm struggling with one major issue. Can one object on Frame 1 be accessed on Frame 2? For example: I want a active object(button) to be used over multiple frames but have found no way of adding the feature to the game. Is it possible?

First off, welcome to the forums! Second off, I think what you want is possible, but, despite what you might think, a text adventure/text-based game is actually a lot more difficult to make in MMF2 than something like a platformer or a simple space invaders clone. I have, however, made a simple text adventure game example, which you can find here: http://community.clickteam.com/threads/82909-creating-adventure-games-for-teen-things-not-working?p=607825&viewfull=1#post607825

It won't help you with the issue you had, but it is a text adventure game example, so it might help you in other ways.

Also, have you finished the tutorial that comes with MMF2 yet? It's really, really easy to follow, so, if you haven't followed it yet, then I advise that you do.

If you still want help with the problem you had, let me know.

Thanks man. So lets say you made a platformer that spans 100 frames for example. You have 1 button that moves your character forward, and one button that moves character back. Wouldn't you need to add those same buttons across the 100 frames? How would you do it?

If you use a global variable, you do not need to re-add this to the event editor.
