    simple "solid" joint

    regarding the new physics movements:
is there a way to join 2 objects together to form a solid bond? i am attempting to work around the collision mask issues by building a car out of multiple squares or circles.
i managed to get a sort of fixed joint using Revolute joint, but the result was very "loose" if you know what i mean, the attached objects felt almost like rubbery, im looking for more of a solid feel.

ill attach an example in a minute

As soon as I have cleared out the major bugs in the engine(s), I will add the possibility of defining your own collision mask with an expression, and re-generate the collision mask from the current image.
In build 280.30 you will have a new option for collision detection : Extended collisions. It will not change the Box2D collision mask, but will enable the default MMF collision detection to work. So basically, the reaction of the object in the physical world will not change, but collision with other object will be detected from the current shape of the object. It might help solve your problems.

sounds great, looking forward to the update

one question; will the user defined collision mask for box2d support rotation? or will that require re-generation of the collision mask

    great job with fusion2.5

As for now, the user-generated collision mask will rotate with the object.
