    Question MMF2 and Anti-Virus

Hi, everyone! I am a user from China. I have been used this powerful tool for one year. Now, I am facing with a tough problem. It is just like this: In my computer, I have installed an anti-virus software(a product of Chinese KingSoft). Some months later, when I opened the exe file(already compile), it gave a error saying: “Invalid data in exe file”. God! My work is broken.

Could anyone give some advice or how to protect my exe files(made by mmf2)? Mainly, to get on well with the anti-virus software

Now, I am thinking to pack my files!!

    I will appreciate your action!

I would advise replacing your antivirus immediately if it's going to destroy your compiled EXEs due to false positives, make sure you report this as Jeff said. Try an alternate like Microsoft Security Essentials, and avoid Norton and Avast for sure! They cause the most problems.

I suppose one way to protect the remaining files would be to keep them in an archive (such as a compressed/encrypted zip folder) and keep multiple copies and the original project file safe on multiple storage locations so it won't destroy your work as easily in future.

As your software is more well known, chances it may be wildly accepted with antivirus programs. Filing reports and submitting false positives to the companies when they happen may help, but don't count on them fixing it properly.

We have been talking to companies like Norton, AVG and Avast for years ... 10 years maybe.
We offered to give them copies of the products so they could keep them on file to SOLVE their false positive problems once and for all.

I am considering having a lawyer draft a letter I can send to their legal departments everytime this happens talking about the damage their careless faulty detection causes us and our users. That might start to get someones attention.
