    MMF2 Actionscript Snow problem.

    Hi, I made an animation in adobe flash for random snow fall, I cant dounload the video in flash and loop it in mmf2 because it is a random spawner. My question is how do we make a random snow animation in flash. I saw a effects pack for mmf2 for snow so I know its possible. Does anyone know how to do this?

    In MMF, create your Snowflake as an Active Object. Give it Ball Movement. Set its speed to 0, Random to 0, Security to 100. Place the Snowflake off the frame area so it's not visible when the frame starts.

    Create another Active Object and call it SnowMaker. Make it 3 x 3 pixels in size and put the Hotspot and Action Point in the centre. Don't apply any movement to this and position it in the frame at the very top of the frame, say X = 0 and Y = 0. In it's properties turn off Visible At Start Of Frame so it is invisible.

    Go to the Event Editor and put in the following code.

    Group - Start of level
    Always
    >Destroy Snowflake.

    Always
    >Deactivate group Start of level.

    Group Snow
    Alterable value A of SnowMaker = 0
    >Set Alterable Value A of SnowMaker to random(10)+2

    Alterable Value A of SnowMaker > 0
    +Every 10th of a second
    >Subtract 1 from Alterable Value A of SnowMaker

    Alterable Value A of SnowMaker = 1
    >Set SnowMaker position X to random (WIDTH OF YOUR FRAME)
    >Create Snowflake at 0,0 from SnowMaker
    >Set Alterable value A of SnowMaker to 0

    Every 10th of a second
    >Set Alterable value A of Snowflake to random (3)+1

    Alterable value A of Snowflake = 1
    >Set direction to just left of down-centre.

    Alterable value A of Snowflake = 2
    >Set direction to down-centre.

    Alterable value A of Snowflake = 3
    >Set direction to just right of down-centre.

    Speed of Snowflake = 0
    >Set speed of Snowflake to random(5)+1

    Snowflake is outside the playing area
    >Destroy Snowflake.

    This will produce a Snowflake at a random position across the top of the screen within a random time period of less then a second.
    The Snowflake will fall down the screen, every tenth of a second changing direction between three downward flows.
    You can save this out as a Flash file using MMF's Flash Exporter.

    ---Do you mean Start instead of Star?

    For further variance, set the hotspot off center and constantly add to the angle. This will cause the snowflake to rotate and it will look like it speeds up and moves from side to side somewhat randomly.

    What do you mean by:

    Group - Start of level?

    I cant find Start of level any wear and searched on Google for quite some time for this?

    Start of Level is the name of the group that Paul's used. A group allows events to be activated/deactivated in a single action, rather than having a condition in each event that activates/deactivates them. To add a new group, just right click on the event number next to the "New Condition" text, and click on the New Group option in the context menu.

    when I got to the place which says:
    Group Snow
    Alterable value A of SnowMaker = 0

    I get a syntax error message as seen in the picture below... am i doing something wrong if so how do I do this without getting the syntax error message?
