    physics platform movement in Fusion 2.5 help !


    how can you get player 1 to not slip down when he stands on a hill?

    Hmmm gravity will always try to drag it down the hill....
    Not exactly sure how you would do this -- It would require some tricky eventing to turn off the gravity when you not moving.

    I don't have a good idea how to do that but it might be possible... Might be easier with a custom movement if you don't need the object to have physics on it.

    There is no friction for the platform movement. Dealing with gravity seems the only way to go.

    Maybe you could try selecting a new movement for the player (i.e. 'static') under particular conditions.
    It's quite an extreme measure, though, that I would recommend for more complex situations and interactions (for example, I'm using it for letting player climb wall, grabbing things, etc.).

    put an actif with the same shape under the hill and invisible : If object collide with actif => friction = 100

    'll probably let player 1 continue to slide because I still like new physics platformer movement more an old platform movement.
    seems to be difficult to fix = /

    That works really well. I found that you can get stuck on vertical blocks while in the air, but this could be easily fixed by using a smaller detector. It also stops dead rather than slowing down on the slope. This turned out to be easy to resolve, just compare the speed!
