Applications exports as 0kb .exe

What could be the cause of this?
Other applications export normally.

Update: It exports fine as .jar executable (although it doesn't properly work because of extensions).
So what is the cause of blank exe export? Extensions?

Update 2: Used Saved As to make a copy and tried exporting from that, but still same problem.

Are you running any antivirus software? Do you get any errors?

No errors, no antivirus.
It exports "fine", but as a 0kb executable. Trying to run that 0kb executable gives a "not a valid 32something application."

Could come from an extension you use. What extensions does this app use?

Using MMF2 Dev in 64 bit windows.

It's an image exporter (customize characters by alternating Active objects -> grab 32x32 or whatever -> export grabbed "screenshot" as png to location chosen in explorer).
It's for internal use so it's not a huge deal for me that I can't export the exe (everything works as intended), but it would be nice to know what could have caused this.
