    Very slow on iPad

    Hi,
I originally posted this in French, but seeing as I have received no replies, I though that I would also post it in English. Every program that I have converted to HTML5 runs at a ridiculously slow speed on the iPad (in the web browser). Is there a reason for this? The programs are but processor-intensive so I can't understand why this is happening.

Here is a link to one of my programs online: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/...tervalles.html

    Thanks
    Tom

I think that the HTML5 and Flash games have no place in mobile devices, if they are to use the AppStore and Google Play, and that never going to allow neither Apple nor Google.

Exporter in PC and Mac performance is amazing, but I would be remiss in my opinion to achieve effects HWA. And of course a way to monetize with our games.

    Cool App Tom!

I am not sure about the HTML5 performance on devices -- Do other HTML5 things run good on the device?
Can you turn this into an app and see if it runs better?

    Thanks Jeff

I already have it as an app and it runs perfectly with more visual effects, it's just with the iPad browser that it really doesn't work. I realize that the best way to go for iDevices is by created an actual app for distribution in the app store.

I guess that is ok if you just want to release the game for fun.
The thing is though that if you want to sell your html5 games, mobile is where it is at when I have looked around and asked people.

I agree 100%. Without complete mobile support, I think that HTML5 would be redundant with SWF, which is already a well established means of providing online content to multiple platforms. Yes, HTML5 seems faster (can't say "is" without extensive tests), but it's just another way of providing content to units that already have access to SWF content.

Give me specific instances of games that you can run on an iphone or android phone running from the browser?

That sense has the Appstore or the Google Play, if anyone can run on mobile browsers HTML5 games.

Now in that you can program a HTML5 game and export to Xcode and in its day was Adobe and Apple I stop it, is another story.

Koji_Kabuto: I don't really understand your question. As far as I know the Html5 mobile market is a "different" kind of market then the native apps market. According to many devs there is very much revenue to be made in mobile html5 at the moment, even with low quality games because the market is not yet saturated and the demand is much higher then what is put out. Many publishers wants to buy html5 games (that work in mobile browsers). For example: http://www.spilgames.com/press/spil-...me-developers/
I have heard stories of devs making insane revenue from very quick low quality games, a bit like when Flash was new. That is why I want to get in before the train has already left.

This guy has made about $100000 from games like these: http://www.truevalhalla.com/blog/buy-html5-games/
That is how early the market is, these games would never be able to sell on the Flash market since it has matured so much.

My question is simple and straightforward, you know some HTML5 game running perfectly on my iPhone 5?

    Does Apple allow it?
