In Attempting to follow your Guide I get as far as running 'Android SDK Manager.exe' But it will not execute at all (including Under run as admin and/or win 8 compatibility mode).

    *EDIT*
I remember a long time ago having a similar issue with the older SDK, and was due to the android.bat not finding the java location. The workaround then was to edit the android.bat and hard set the java location in the file. But I don't know if the new 'Android SDK Manager.exe' Uses the android.bat as the new adroid.bat is completely different code from the old one.

Yes I install both, I also checked the windows environment paths, they are correct.

Running the java test page returned correct version installed

hmm but does it show you an error?

can you check if this exist and inside your path also add xxxx\bin

    Variable Value

    JAVA_PATH = C:\Program Files\Java\jdk1.8.144

No error, Windows just acts like I did nothing.

    yea path exits.
Removed and re-added to make sure.
    Path.png

    Still Doesn't execute.

    *Edit*
    Opps I misunderstood ur post.

I've now added the JAVA_PATH variable
And Added xxxx\bin to the normal Enviroment path.
Also Re-downloaded the manager from the steam Tut, just to be sure the first wasn't corrupted somehow

    Still nothing.

mm out of idea only to suggest try this and check if everything answer is as it is installed

    open command window

cd to your android sdk dir\tools\lib

    execute there

    find_java64.exe

    should return the java installed

    now run find_java.bat

    then do

    java -version

and see it if run and answer correctly

    then

    cd ..\..

    and execute

    "sdk manager.exe"

and see if it runs (wait few seconds)
    Regards,

Ok did that with odd responses:

    find_java64.exe......... returned correct location

find_java.bat............. returned Cannot find file even though file exists (shown in screenshot)

    java -version..............returns correct information

Executing the manger from cmd prompt did nothing.

However I did notice you said make 2 directory returns (cd..\..) but my manager.exe is in the \Android_SDK\tools folder not the \Android_SDK.
so I moved the manager.exe to \Android_SDK and ran it again via CMD prompt and received a cannon find directory error popup.
    cant find error.png

There is something in that batch file that doesn't work.
If you want, I can do a Teamviewer session and fix the problem, just let me know.

And put the manager back into the tools folder, that's where it should be.
