Creating a file without any extensions?

Hello, are you able to create a file without, or minimum amount of extensions?

I tried with the File object, creating a file and setting the text of it but it crashes.

    Any suggestions?

If you just need to save a text file, you can use the rtf object.

    Hi Bartek,
What do you mean by "it crashes"? Using File object, it's easy to append some data to a file. The only thing you have to be aware of is that there is maximal amount of characters that the File object can write per action. At least, it was the case in previous version of Clickteam Fusion.
RTF Object is visual component, and usually visual components are slow. Avoid it if possible. String Parser could be a good option.

    Hi BartekB,

The last time I tried the File Object Extension, it did not have any Error Handling. If the file does not exist, file not readable or writable, it will throw an exception and crash the application.
You must add error handling on your own with conditions: IfFileExist, IfFileWritable, ... Some conditions alreay exist. I did not know anymore, if I was able to check all conditions without extra extensions or tricks.
