I'm making an Android version of my iOS game and have hit a big problem. The game uses the regular INI object, and in Android, Delete Group doesn't work. It works fine using the Android Old INI Object but I have 173 frames, three INI objects, and sometimes up to a couple dozen INI events and actions in each frame, so while it's technically possible to change to the Android Old INI object, it would take forever and would possibly introduce bugs due to the inevitable minor mistakes I'd make
Does anyone have any idea what I can do?
Here is a simple project with a regular INI and an Android INI. (Warning: It will crash in Windows-- it must be compiled and run on Android-- or use the apk below)
Here's an apk:
When you start it, then go to the next frame, you'll see readouts from the regular and Android INIs. If you go back to the first frame and press Delete INI Group, then go to frame 2 again, you'll see that only the Android INI group was deleted; the regular ini is still showing numbers. (The top two numbers are using the String object, and the bottom two are Counters. There's no real reason for that, just playing around.)
