Create Object by Name and change alterable values?

    Hello,

I am trying to create an object by name and then change the created objects alterable values/strings.

Is this possible without major workarounds?

Are you creating only Actives Objects?

Yes. I did not know you could create backdrops with this function .

Yes, you can. But, if you want to create Actives, you don't need any extension. You can do this directly using the event editor. To change the alterable value, you also can do this in event editor.

I don't think you're understanding. I need to "Create Object By Name" and adjust the Created Objects alterable values in the same line of code. It seems it isn't possible, but I've found a workaround in my system.

    Thanks!

i dont know what your are trying to do, but i can "create BY NAME" (an active called "blaablaa") - and chaNGE its alterable value with NO problems whatsoever; and it only affects the object I created, no others.

I thought I tried this with no results. Perhaps my memory is just fried and I need to try it again.

I am creating objects by name from a list, so I do not know which object is being created at what time. I just need to add all objects in this list to a qualifier and MMF should automatically single out the one that is created?

I have another Question. Its almost equal to the toppic.
    What I want:
Create Object by name and set the Alterable Value to the Value of the object it was created from.
In my attached file there is only the first created object affected. How do I get this work? the created object should be counting up like the "Player" under them.

    Maybe some different workaround?
This was my first idea (favorite one) but I can´t get this work:
    If there is an Array:
    1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 Player
    4 5 9 8 7 7 4 3 Helmet ID
    1 1 1 1 1 1 1 1 Suit ID

On start of frame there should be created "player 1" with the "helmet 4" and "suit 1" with the same Alterable Value 1=1.
On start of frame there should be created "player 2" with the "helmet 5" and "suit 1" with the same Alterable Value 1=2.

How did i get this work?
    thanks for help

if you create the objects using a fast loop or foreach loop then you can use the loop index to set an id variable. if you already have objects created then you can use a local or global variable to keep track of previous object numbers allocated.
