Download object not download exe file
I've read a few posts about this kind of error and none of their solutions work...
I'm trying to make a launcher for a game so people can pick the version they want to download.
Downloading a picture works fine but downloading the exe doesn't seem to work.
I've included the mfa here in case anyone can see what the problem is.

I've never had problems downloading .exes I created an updater for my software and its working fine.
Let me find a simple example and upload it.
Oh man... after hours of work and debugging, I realized I said for it to download to the destination Appdir$+"Launcher\Versions\Version.exe" when I only created the directories Appdir$+"Launcher" and Appdir$+"Versions"... I really can't believe this... Anyway it's all fixed now
do someone know how to use that object??? i try to download a simple text file from http://mattepainting.be/test.txt to my c:\temp\test.txt but its not working?? thanks
What runtime are you using? It won't work in anything but the Windows runtime, if I remember correctly. It might work in a few other runtimes, but I can't recall there being any other runtimes that it works in. Also, I know for sure that it won't work in Flash, which seems to be the only other runtime you have.

I know, I was responding to imothep85, not to your post, since you had already mentioned that you figured out the solution to the problem.
Does this work on Android and iOS?
Don't believe so... as far as I know (don't use iOS or Android all that much) the download object isn't compatible with those exporters. If it is, then you can use the Android/iOS object respectively to pull an external/internal directory to save/load files.
I believe you can use WebView to download in Android/IOS?
