    Question Shooting In Between Directions

    Hello everyone, a while ago I figured out how to make the bullet shooting system work. However, I now have a new problem. 8 directions works fine. My problem for example is, when changing direction of the animation from right to diagonal right, diagonal right to up, I need bullets to shoot in between the directions, that way the shooting is much more flexible. I'm trying my hardest to make a replica of Earthworm Jim's engine.

    So if I can shoot in directions 0, 4, 8, 12, 16, 20, 24, 28

    How can I make it that bullets shoot also in transition to the new direction? I.E. (0 to 4) and 2 being the in between. (4 to 8) 6 being the in between and so forth.

    How I have set it up is that there is one object (Bullet Positioner) follows the action point of the sprite when shooting in the directions. Every 5 milliseconds while the A key is pressed, an invisible bullet object will launch out from the Bullet Positioner at 100 speed. This works fine. Now I would love to make the shooting not exactly 360, just need some in between bullets so that when I transition from direction to direction, anything in between it can have the possibility of getting hit by the bullet. Anyone that has played Earthworm Jim, I'm hoping will understand what I am trying to accomplish.

    Do you guys need an example or pictures to fully understand what I am talking about? Please guys, I've searched many places on the web and I still haven't found it, including Youtube, and have found zero luck. Or if this is too complicated, do you have any suggestions that would be similar? I just really need this part of my engine fixed. Thanks again everyone for your time.
