I've been spendig a few nights now trying to make my own third person horror game similar to the older Resident evil games. No special extensions are being used. I think this is as close as you can get to simulate that style in a 2D environment

Thank you so much! :-D I've also added some fighting now and it works quite well I must say. It does take time when doing 16 directions of everything though. It's so nuch better than just 8 so it's worth it. Gonna post another clip soon to demonstrate the fighting mechanics :-)

Great I look forward to seeing it, equally would be cool to see a video of what it looks like behind the scenes.

Ok here's an updated video. I've fixed up some stuff. The player now consists of 2000 images (Yes really)!!!! 32 directions of everything haha. It's very much a WIP so don't mind the weird stuff you might see. The fighting is a little random so that's why I keep going back and forth a few times on that last area. I'm still working on the fighting stuff but I'm getting there. It 's a pain making the bullets work the right way :-P

Just took a peek at your videos. Awesome retro feeling you've got going there. Glad you like it Fighting works really well now. Just added an abnormally large spider enemy
