    Upcoming Real-time strategy game: War for Robovania

    So, just curious, but if I were to ever do a livestream playthrough of this game when it is completely finished, and I showed a full playthrough of the entire game in the livestream instead of just most of it, would you guys watch? Just curious.

    Well, we've worked on some potential graphical improvements in War for Robovania.

    Due to the larger sizes of the graphics, there will obviously be some issues that need to be worked out, but that hopefully won't take too long. Before we do that, though, what do you guys think? Do you like the new graphics more than the old ones? If you can't tell whether or not they are better due to the video quality, then let us know so we can put up screenshots. Either way, please give us feedback on it!

    Also, yes, that is a frames per second counter in the upper-left corner, for debugging purposes.
    EDIT: Here are some screenshots, first of the old graphics style:

    Notice how much more distinctly-shaped everything is in the new style? That's because I realized that there needed to be a distinction between units other than color for colorblind players.

    Okay, so I'd like to say what some/most of the planned features, differences from the full version, etc. are going to be in the "demo" (for lack of a better way to describe it in one word) of War for Robovania:

    1. The demo will mostly feature new content using a similar/the same engine, aside from re-used graphics, the basic units the player has, upgrades, maybe an enemy or two, etc. That's the best way I think I can make the demo, due to the nature of the game making a traditional demo of "a select few stages from the full version" a bit difficult, and, due to the game being a bit on the short side, a 1-hour trial would probably be enough to beat the entire game a few times (though, also due to the nature of the game, it should be fairly re-playable). It allows people to try the game, and probably lets them play enough to decide if they want the full version, without giving everyone too much content from the full version.
    2. The plan is to include 4 stages, 3 normal stages and 1 "fortress" stage (possibly 2 "fortress" stages, but that's unlikely, especially with the planned story (the stage isn't exactly a fortress stage, but saying what it actually is might spoil a part of the planned story)). To compare, the full version will have 11 stages, 5 normal stages and 6(!) fortress stages.
    3. The demo will technically be its own, stand-alone game, and will probably be treated as such.
    4. The demo will take place before the main game, and is likely to have a bit more story than the full game (the story, while not implemented in the demo itself, has, in fact, been come up with, it's more of a matter of whether or not I can feasibly make the necessary cutscenes for it without them being terrible).
    5. I will try to keep feedback I get from the demo in mind, so it will also serve as a way for me to get feedback on the general gameplay of the game.
    6. I may or may not have been teasing a bit of info on some characters in the demo with those encoded messages.

    Well, that's all for now! Now back to work on the demo, so that hopefully you guys can give it a try fairly soon...

    So, I have a question for you guys related to the demo: Would you rather I release an early version of the demo, with the one stage I've finished, now, with me updating it as I finish more and more of the demo, or would you rather I finish it before releasing it?
