Question Can I make a save game?

I want to make a save game for many times but it seemed that it could only save words in arrays, is that true? Also, may I have an example save file if there is a solution?

You can save strings and integers in arrays.

As for an example. It depends on what you want to be saving. You could use arrays or binary object. (i'd recommend binary object as you'll be able to compress and encrypt the save data without using multiple extensions).

Wow! This is a lot harder than I thought!
Can we just do it like screen capturing?

IIRC you can save the position of the player to INI. But that isn't much use. Saving the game in its current state (something like what console emulator does) isn't something that any game does. Only emulators.

Your best option is to save the progress to an array or binary file. If you need to save alot of data (game progress, collected items, achievements, player stats, inventory, bank/storage and so on) I'd go with binary object.

Also dont forget the ini file extension. Easy stat savings can be done with it. You´ll find examples "ini save" in this forum.

If it is number or text, it can be saved into an array. You can save the direction of objects (which are numbers), values of counters, (numbers too), object's names (text), etc...
