Question Sync Data between an IOS App and a Windows App

    Hi

I'm after a bit of help/advice as to whether this is even possible. . .

I have a piece of software called V-Log which runs under Windows. It is a Visitor Management application which tracks visitors to a building. This all works great on Windows machines.

I had the idea that what if I wrote a small app (for the iPad) that would allow people to enter their details when they first entered the building. The data would then just be stored in a file on the iPad.
At the end of the day the iPad would then be plugged into a Windows machine running V-Log and it would sync with the iPad and take the data that had been entered on that day and then insert it into the current database.

What I need to know is if the data is stored within the app how do I get it exported out of the app and into a folder location that my Windows application can read it?

    Any help/ideas would be appreciated.

    Thanks
    Marc

You could do this over the internet using the get object. Then just have a small php script that adds this data to the database. Then in your windows application poll the database for changes.
I'm not sure it's currently possible with CF to have your application generate a file that could be copied to the windows machine over the sync cable though.
