Import image from database with GET object?

Is it possible to import images from a MYSQL database into a Fusion app built as html5? I can get text using a php script to echo the text and then using the GET object to retrieve what is echoed. Can this be done for an image as well? How would this work? Thanks,
    Brett

Try looking at the Active picture object. This allows you to load pictures at runtime

    Thanks,
Will this allow you to load pictures from a database or website? I'll look into it. Thanks,

Hi! AP obj doesnt allow you to load images from web on windows. (supported with the android & ios runtime)

    you can:

    - download the image upfront with the WebView Object2, save it and then load with AP
    - display the image with the WebView Object2

    hope that helps

    Hi,
I am trying to have my final build be html5. I am not seeing anyway to import a picture from a database or website with the active picture object. The WebView Object2 doesn't appear to be available in html5. Am I missing something? Is there a way to do this with the html5 runtime? Thanks,
    Brett

Loading images into AP at Runtime won't work on Windows unless you do a Build & Run for HTML5 (same goes for Android/iOS).

You should be able to GET query the DB, retrieve the image URL, then use the returned string to load as a direct URL to the image...

    Hi Danny,
I am not sure how to set a URL for the active picture object. How would this be done? So far, I've only been able to see ways to load images stored locally (browse for file is what opens). Thanks,
    Brett

Actions > New Picture (Via Expression) Use that to specify the URL:

    Thanks Danny,
This method works but I've discovered that the URL you gave above was not valid. I used a different image from my site and it worked though. Thanks!
