    Making cloned objects match animation

    Im working on an onion skin engine and the main hurdle i've come across is making a clone object match the main player objects animation. Is there any way to make this work without matching ALL the events of the player match the "onionskin" object? Something within the event editor to make them match each other?

    You can set the animation, direction, and frame number by 'use expression', and get the primary object's related properties as the set values. Is that what you mean?

    Thanks for the reply i've found a way to do this pretty easily. I'll post an example later if i get a free minute. Basically i have a clone of the character, have an event that says "every 00'02 secs" create the clone from 0,0 of the main character (while having "clone count less than 20" to keep it from getting out of hand) then every 00'15 secs destroy the clones. Then for the animation, all i do is copy the first "every 00'02" event and add that if x animation of the player is playing, then the same animation is playing on the clone. Takes a little bit longer but works like a charm!
