    Screen zoom and backdrops

    If you use the screen zoom object and zoom out, obstacles such as platforms would turn invisible. I'm sure this has a lot to do with memory limitations, but is there a way to at least extend how far away they can be before they disappear.

    When obstacles moves outside the visible area of the game they are not sent to the GPU for rendering. This is a pretty important performance critical step in all games so that objects that aren't visible will not be rendered.
    The ScreenZoom extension modifies the way things are drawn but not *which* objects are drawn. You can partly fix this by having the game zoom a little bit in by default and then just zoom back to normal when you want to zoom out a bit.
