    AI for racing opponents?

    I'm making a 2-D topdown racing game, but I have one question:

    How do you program AI for the opponent racers? I want the racers not to follow me, but to pass me and move towards the finish line, although I can't figure out how to program it, unless I use the path movement (which I don't want to use.)

    Any help?

    Hi. Look at my FastCar Example on my website. It uses a random number for the cars.

    opps just realised that this is a 2.5 example....sorry! I'm sure the code could be implemented in 2.0 though, if you can get a hold of it.
