Problem making app delete an ini file

Hey, I was able to do this in mmf 2 but I can't seem to get this to work in fusion.

Basically I want to erase a players ini file when their character dies, like perma death.

Tried every permutation I can think of but it won't delete the ini file.

Are you storing the ini file in the app data directory or the install path?
Windows or antivirus may not be very happy with you deleting files from C:\Program Files

the install path, then i'm forcing the filter to look for only the ext. of my game files. i'm also in administrator mode in fusion. I was able to do this in MMF2. It's allowed me to delete the character's file when they died. That forces the player to try hard not to lose.
i was trying every trick i knew, i might have to learn app data i'm old school...

    !!! I figured it out!!!
    After about 8 hours!

I finally restructured the code and let my character die, and the character file was gone!

Funny thing is i had about 20 lines of code all trying different combinations, i just deleted that group and decided to start clean, sat and thought about how it "should" work the way i was accessing the data and it took about 4 lines of code to handle the job.

    Hah,

Users that do no have admin priviledges will not have their ini files saved, you should transition to appdata before you release anything publicly or you'll get complaints from your users.

If you're using the File object, and it errors, you have to clear the error first otherwise it won't allow you to do anything (such as delete a file), that may explain why it wasn't working with other parts of your code.
