    one sample after the other?

    I have three sound samples that are activated by the same event. But I can't get them to play in order, as opposed to everything at once.

    How would I go about doing that?

    I am sure there is an easier way or even some custom sound extension but this will work as well:

    Lets asume that the first sample takes 10 seconds, the next one 5 seconds and the last one 7 seconds.

    Make a global value e,g, "PlaySoundsInRow" and set it to "99" start value.

    When you fire the event that should play the first sound then add:

    set PlaySoundsInRow to 0 (we do this to reset the sound chain, if for example the first
    play first sound sample

    Now create a new condition, select the timer object and choose "every" and select "every 1 second"

    Now add an action to add +1 to your PlaySoundsInRow value.

    Now you just need two aditional conditions.

    PlaySoundsInRow = 15
    + Only one action when event loops

    --> play 2nd sound

    PlaySoundsInRow = 22
    + Only one action when event loops

    --> play 3rd sound

    Thats it,

    cheers!

    If you use a program like Audacity, you can just merge all three in order into the one sound effect (one after another) and then play only the one .wav when you need all three to be played in order.

    Ok, so there's no built in finctiuonality for that. Got it. Thank you.

    @RhysD It's not always the same three or in the same order, which is why I split it into several samples.

    Hehe, dont say that something is not easily possible in Fusion, even if we did not program it specifically (I wonder why we did not do it, as a "When sound ends" condition is really needed).

    * On press "Space"
    - Play sample "Hello"
    - Activate group "Sound test"
    Group Sound Test (inactive at start)
    * "Hello" is not playing (use "Specific Sample is not playing")
    * Only once when event loops (in the system object, Limit conditions)
    - Play sample "How are you"?
    * "How are you" is not playing
    * Only once when event loops
    - Play sample "You see, it is not complicated..."

    ... etc. Just tested it works wonders!

    @Francois Interesting. I'll have to try it out.
