Talking Online Database with Clickteam Fusion 2.5 - GET object and String Parser

Here is how you can create and display dynamic data using the GET object and the String Parser with fusion. In this tutorial you will set up a database using phpmyAdmin and mySQL server super easy.

You could use this to create achievement, high-scores, or just simply display database driven content. For a better script to update and create a database use Jeff's HighScore tutorial which contains php ready to go.

Thanks for another great tutorial Sparckman. Does it also work in HTML5? I'm just asking before I start doing it.

Thanks for all the great work! Your tutorials are excellent.

When ever I want to transfer some files to my site I do it via FTP. It's the easiest, most forthcoming way to do it. 9 years of doing this and counting.

    1. Get an FTP program. Filezilla is free, open source, and also really good with regular updates and new features coming a few times per year. Best part: It's multi platform for both Windows, Mac, Linux, maybe even iOS and Android these days.

    2. Upon startup enter your credentials. You should've gotten them in an email when you signed up. Now this is for commercial sites, but some free sites supports FTP as well. Make sure to set the port to 21 or it won't work.

    3. The file lists to the left is on your local computer. The file lists to the right is your files on the server.

    4. Locate the files to upload.

    5. Drag them from left to right.

    6. The cue of files to be processed shows up in the lower field, the console is in the upper field. You can see what file was succesfully uploaded to your server in the transfer pane down below.

I hope this helps you out.
