moving based on angle (MFA attached)

hiya folks. I have an active that rotates around a planet if you use the mouse to set position
however I want to be able to make the active 'walk' around the planet by pressing Z and X

I have started this and it somewhat works based on angle context
but I think there is probably a much more elegant solution that will use math
probably a quick fix for someone out there who knows trig

please take a look! should be useful for others as well

Hmmmm .. how about using an "invisible helper" circle object?

    1- Create a circle object.
2- Create a counter that will increase and decrease on pressing X and Z.
3- Set an event to that circle so it rotates in degrees based on that counter's value.
4- Set an event to your object to follow that circle.
5- Lastly you set that circle to be invisible.

    Angry

    ugh this is so difficult

I made a working but bad version: planet_5x.mfa

what is needed are two more actives that are always to the sides of the frog
once I have that, I can make events: user presses Z, move towards orbiter A
user presses X, move towards orbiter B

I'm having a lot of time setting up a second active at a position based on a different angle of the frog to the planet

    so hard

    See attached my example

I made the object always to set its x and y position to the circle's action point

And the circle rotates based on counter that's affected by pressing x and z, left and right arrows

Now all what you need to do is to make the red circle invisible at start, and place your own planet on top of it.
