    Btw have anyone done Trading Cards? From what I gather you actually do everything in the Steam dashboard, there is no real talking between the game you need to worry about? (It only unlocks after a certain playtime if Iunderstand correctly). Also do you need to do the "badges" , "emoticons" and "profile backgrounds"?

    Trading cards are just about the amount of time the game's been open, so you don't actually have to do anything in the backend to make them work.

    Achievement tracking would also be pretty easy. At a certain point (say, at the end of a level), take specific values you are tracking and add them to a user's stats. Then run either a global event or have a specific frame for tracking achievements that when those stats reach a number, trigger the achievement. I'm doing the same with the INI object and in-game trophies at the moment, but for the Steam version I'll be transferring all that over to the Steamworks object. Pretty massive undertaking but worth it so nobody can cheat so easily (trophies/achievements unlock features in the game).

    Leaderboards I think would work the same way. There's a leaderboard section on the Steamworks site, so you would just upload a value you are tracking to the specific leaderboard you want.

    Btw anyone know how to have different products under the same game? For example if you also want to sell the soundtrack, or have a "collectors edition" with soundtrack + game?

    You would need to set up separate packages for each. I believe they go over this in the Steamworks documentation, but it's pretty simple to do.
    It basically goes:

    • Game

      • Package
        • ​Depot
        • Depot

      • ​Package
        • ​Depot

    Etc. So your depots, like the game for different platforms, go into the package. For a soundtrack, that package would just have to include the OST in the depot.

    In order to publish a game on Steam, is it better to put the Execution level as invoker or as administrator?

    Use invoker unless you have a specific need to make changes to the files on the user's computer (saves can be handled as an invoker, as long as you're putting them correctly in the Application Data folder).
